Women's rights guarantee that women will not face discrimination on the basis of their sex. It wasn't until the 19th century that laws imposed by the government regarding women rights created some of the most significant obstacles securing women rights. Because most women lacked the educational and economic resources that would enable them to challenge the existing social order, women generally accepted their inferior status as their only option.
